We will be learning how to draw the proper proportions of the human face. Before we begin this drawing project, we will practice some detail features of the face: the nose, eyes and mouth.
This sketchbook involves drawing any ONE of the following combinations.
-two eyes -one mouth -one nose
-two eyes -two mouths
-two eyes -two noses
Select large photos (of the feature combination that you choose) so you can clearly see the different details (shapes) and values.
Paste the images on one side of your sketchbook page.
Use the photo as your original source, but remember our classroom discussion about finding shapes as you are drawing. (or watch the video on the website)
Include tonal changes using pencil shading…NO SMUDGING!I want you to use your pencil set or a tonal range like hatching to achieve tonal ranges.Smudging is the ‘easy way’ out.
NOTE: To achieve a basic level ONE you need to complete one of the assigned drawing combinations.
